There are quite a few different points you can sit and take in the views, including the main area and also some big breaks in the trees on the right hand side of the track. * Activity passes are transferable and non-refundable The summit is surprisingly big at Observation Point, or it certainly feels like it when you get it to yourself or with just a few others. There is no sign for Observation Point here, so watch for the normal green. Drive about 5 miles past the Zion Ponderosa Ranch, then left on Twin Knolls Road. Turn left at the signed Observation Point TH, on N Fork County Road. Guided activities are not available during this time frame. The most challenging and scenic route to Observation Point is a four-mile, one-way hike that starts at Weeping Rock (shuttle stop 7) on the floor of Zion. From the ZNP Visitor Center, drive East on HWY 9 for 22 miles, through the tunnel and past the East Entrance. Observation Point is situated at the north end of Zion Canyon, towering 2,100 feet (640 meters) above the canyon floor and the North Fork of the Virgin River which drains. It is frequently summited via a Class 1 trail which climbs approximately 2,150 feet in an 8-mile round-trip route from the Weeping Rock shuttle stop on the. Reservations / Cancellations: We do encourage you to make a reservation in order to guarantee space for you and your group on Zion Ponderosa recreation adventures. Observation Point is a 6,507-foot (1,983 m) elevation Navajo Sandstone feature located in Zion National Park, in Washington County of southwest Utah, United States. Canyoneering is available from March to November each year - weather permitting. This includes ATV tours, horseback rides, Jeep tours, and paintball. Please Note: Most recreation activities are weather-dependant and, therefore, may not be available during wet time-frames and/or cold months.
